Five things about the next James Bond movie
'American Beauty' director will step behind the camera

After a long layoff, 007 is finally getting back his license to kill.
The James Bond franchise got a creative shot in the arm back in 2006 with the casting of the ruggedly handsome Daniel Craig as the tuxedo-clad superspy in "Casino Royale."
Now three years since the last mission, 2008's "Quantum of Solace," and after MGM's teetering finances nearly deep-sixed the Craig-led series, here are five things Flemingites oughta know about Bond's next great adventure:
1. The Title's a Mystery, but About That Release Date: Commit it to memory. Nov. 9, 2012. Now that MGM has finally gotten its house in order, that day will live in Bond history as the day the next movie in the secret agent's now 40-year-old canon--currently being referred to by its working title of Bond 23--hits theaters.
2. Who's Back: Dame Judi Dench let slip Bond 23's start date, telling the U.K.'s Express she is indeed due to reprise her role as 007's tough-as-nails boss, M, for the seventh time this November. "I don't know the location yet, but hopefully it will be somewhere nice," said the 76-year-old acting legend. "I can't tell you much more, but I do enjoy playing M as she is such a strong character. I like being bossy, and my grandson thinks it's cool that I'm in Bond." Also returning is the screenwriting duo of Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who wrote the last five entries.
3. Is Daniel Free This Fall? With shooting expected to commence in November 2011, Craig's increasingly busy schedule will have cleared up, with four of his big 2011 films in the pipeline: The would-be summer blockbuster "Cowboys & Aliens," the drama "Dream House" with new squeeze Rachel Weisz, the Steven Spielberg-directed performance-capture fest "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn" and the heavily hyped English-language redo of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."
4. And the Villain Is: Good question. But there are a number of talented actors whom producers are eyeing to follow in the footsteps of such great baddies as Dr. No, Blofeld, Goldfinger and Le Chiffre. Oscar-winner Javier Bardem is rumored to be in talks as Bond's main nemesis while Ralph Fiennes is being bandied about to play a "dark, complex" role.
5. Bond Will Take His Marching Orders From... A 007 film needs a director who will shake things up, much like Bond's trademark martinis--someone to step in and keep it fresh, but at the same time, not drift too far from the classic and the familiar. Enter "American Beauty" director Sam Mendes, whom producers tapped for this go-round to maintain the emotional depth the series began to explore when Craig came aboard.
We're looking forward to seeing what he comes up with.

I just love Duffy! I would really like to hear her sing the next Bond song.mburns wrote:She was one of the 'X-Factor' finalists, she has got talent but I don't think she'll be picked somehow. They tend to go for 'bigger' names don't they?Michael G. Wilson said in a interview ages ago he wanted Duffy to sing it. So................? Could start a new topic, who sings the theme?

Martin Parr to star in next Bond film
Martin Parr to star in next Bond film
Magnum Photos legend spotted filming the next instalment of James Bond series in the role of Q's son
Martin Parr has been cast for a leading role in the next James Bond film, PhotoRadar has learned.
The news emerged after the Magnum photographer was snapped on set of the latest film by an amateur photographer (see image above), who then sent the image to PhotoRadar.
A source associated with the production confirmed to us that Parr has been cast in the role of Q's son, who works closely with James Bond providing him with a wide array of spy gadgets and other technology.
The source claims that Parr was cast following a chance encounter with director Sam Mendes, who was impressed by the Magnum Photo legend's natural charisma and eccentricity.
The source also told us that in one scene, Parr presents Bond, played by Daniel Craig, with a DSLR camera that kills people as it takes their picture.
The as yet unnamed 23rd instalment in the Bond series is being filmed in Britain and Des Moines, Iowa, in the United States.
The film is thought to follow James Bond's attempts to thwart a Canadian billionaire's efforts to export a deadly virus to the United States in vials attached to the legs of bald eagles.
Our source tells us that, in the film, the American military refuses to fire upon the eagles, forcing James Bond to take their photograph.
The film, which had been delayed by MGM's bankruptcy in 2010, is due for release in November 2012.

Yeah you have to be very careful today with everything, you read. Over at CBN someone talked about a BBC show, where Judi let slip the next bit - the title. "Valley of Silence"
Of course, Aprils fool again...even though, there is a Flemming title "Valley of Shadows"

The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

"When we speak by phone, Logan is holed up in his Soho loft in New York, writing the first draft of what will be the 23rd Bond film. "I'm deeply, deeply embedded in the world of 007," he says. "It's a little intimidating because when this movie comes out it will be the 50th anniversary of Dr No, so it's a long and respected franchise."

This doesn't fit with the other news, where Arnold is talking Bond. BUT, if true, a lot of Bond fans will bepleased - they hate him. Why? I have NO idea, because I LOVE his score.Dunda wrote:@IncredibleSuit

Actually, I don't believe this. Arnold has seemed to be too much involved with 23 already.
