I've never understood does Dan actually cry in that?
Surely that would be the first time Bond has ever cried?

I'm not sure that he cries, but I am sure that this is the first time we see James Bond in despair over a woman.

Nope, George Lazenby does when his wife Dianna Rigg gets killed in 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'.

Yeah me too, call me girly, but the first time I ever saw this movie, I wanted to cry so much in this scene.

I cried, and I remember I desperately wanted him to revive her. I was yelling at the screen, no, don't give up, James! (we were watching the DVD at home)

My husband was like, no, that doesn't happen, she dies. He hates watching action movies with me cause I'm so sentimental. If he hadn't asked me to watch CR with him that night though, I'm not sure I ever would have discovered Daniel.

Yeah, I knew she going to die though because I love all James Bond movies(yep even the old ones) and I knew that this one was before James Bond WAS James Bond. Even though I saw it coming I somehow still wanted him to revive her so badly. After seeing their chemistry together I couldn't bare to see her die. :(
