Singer AMY WINEHOUSE will reportedly get up close and personal with hunky actor DANIEL CRAIG in the next installment of the James Bond movie series.

Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has offered Winehouse a part in the Casino Royale sequel after falling in love with the Rehab star's hit album Back to Black.

A source tells the News Of The World newspaper, "She's perfect for the role because she's the embodiment of the retro glamour of the original movies."

The latest film in the superspy franchise is set for release next year.

I don't know what to think about this. On one hand, I take it with a grain of salt, no matter how "official" it sounds. Bond girl speculation has been running rampant since CR came out.

On the other hand...

I like Winehouse's music, but I can't stand her personality which I can imagine would be detrimental during filming. Of course, and I don't mean to sound ugly, this is assuming she accepts the role *and* doesn't drink herself into an early grave before 22 starts filming.

Does she even have any acting experience?

But looking at her pictures, maybe she will play the 'bad' girl and not THE Bond girl.

Just read the article. She isn't the discreet type, is she?

Do they have scummy tatooed foul mouthed so called ladies in Bond movies, I think not.

Let her do the music by all means, but act, hell no!

lol! Amen!!! Scummy, that's the word I'm looking for. The Bond Girls of Yesteryear have something Wino is sorely lacking, grace.

Besides, maybe I'm in the minority here, but I liked Eva as a Bond Girl b/c she wasn't a huge name at the time. Wino is incredibly overexposed...

Lynda - you got it right girl - one line is all we could cope with, however she is well known for liking more than one line.... if you know what I mean. PLEASE lets keep the glamour in Bond..and the sophistication - Amy Winehouse has neither!!!!!!

This better be just that, a rumor. Like someone here suggested, perhaps BB wants her to play the bad girl. With all the girls in the world, why her? Nothing personal, I just don't see it!!!!

Amy Winehouse, despite all appearences to the contrary--is quite professional I've heard. I don't really think it's that crazy. This thread is getting a bit mean about her. I can't imaging anybody being as skanky as all that.

You trusted Barbara Broccoli when she chose Daniel, but want to practically rip Amy Winehouse a new arse...whats up with that?

IMO it's another rumor... The fact is when you look at her, she doesn't look like a bond girl !!!

Just have a look to the site MI6, where you can find tips about bond 22... she isn't quoted for the role but you can read four different names!!
