Re: MacBeth
I totally dont understand the costumed
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..
Re: MacBeth
The article from the German FAZ gives a pretty good insight of this production. It is posted in the Stage Work thread on page 3

Re: MacBeth
Nice. I wish them a success. Even though it seems to be a rather brave approach. Far away from the original. Lets see.

Re: MacBeth
I think that without this brave approach Daniel would not have taken the role.
Sam directed Othello as well and from what we saw it was approached the same way.

Re: MacBeth
When are we expecting the reviews? Some time today?
Re: MacBeth
I think more likely tomorrow (German time)

The review embargo was altered to 4pm on Friday (due to much press rescheduling with so many of the actors out recently). Sooo, I guess we won't get reviews tonight unless someone forgets to change their publish date.

Re: MacBeth
Seems Ruth is getting more applause. Lets see how Daniel will be seen in the reviews. Good luck for him

Re: MacBeth
Video interviews below. Ruth looks so stunning and even Daniel agrees! Why can't they make a film version of this?!?
