I think I read somewhere it was Daniels idea as well as her having her clothes on. I am sure about the clothes thing, though - not about the finger...
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

I think he does seem to take great pride in his love scenes being as realistic as possible....just in terms of exactly where he puts his limbs. He doesn't need to take his clothes off to get the (very hot) message across.
