a wonderful tribute to Daniel

Post by Dunda »

Just found this on youtube, sorry if it has been posted earlier

This song is tailored

Ella Fitzgerald: Wait till you see him
Wait till you see him
See how he looks
Wait till you hear him laugh.

Painters of paintings
Writers of books
Never could tell the half.

Wait till you feel
The warmth of his glance,
Pensive and sweet and wise.

All of it lovely
All of it thrilling
I'll never be willing to free him.

When you see him
You won't believe your eyes
You won't believe your eyes.

Love anthropofagi's stuff....saw it....loved it...I wonder if she did the remix herself - she's got some photos that we haven't seen yet....Any way to obtain them off the vid?

Terrible music BTW or I am too old for that.

The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

OBSESS MUCH?

Post by sharmaine »

Obsess much? Yep....I'm completely, utterly mad about this man!

Another video compilation - unable to send to YouTube - no idea why:
Diana Krall, a classic song, a classy guy in black and white sets the mood.

This one worked on YouTube though:
Sheryl Crow - Daniel Craig, Yes, you're strong enough to be my man.

Thanks Anglo....I was pleased with the result too.
Just had to do them....wanted to do a black and white one for a long time and Sheryl Crow's song is great....had to do one with that song.

I'm exhausted but I can't keep away
he consumes my thoughts every day
I create these things to try to clear them out of my head
and they return every night when I go to bed
I am in Daniel's world of illusion
There is simply no other conclusion
For as far as I can see
There is no peaceful rest for me.

"Kiss me, kiss me very much as if it was this night the last time.

Kiss me, kiss me much that I am afraid to get lost, to get lost later.

"I want to feel you closely together, to look at the eyes and to meet close to me. Think you that maybe tomorrow I will be very far, very far from you" :)

It´s a great bolero, is perfect for the occasion :) sharmaine, great job :)

In the translation the sensuality of the words gets lost very much :?

Hey Faustine....write what you were trying to say in your own language....I'm sure it would be much more delicious. Por favor...por mi.

OMG - I just realized that you were translating Besame Mucho, si?

Pardona mi.
Intenté traducir la letra de Besame mucho, es un maravilloso bolero de Consuelo Velézquez, escrito en 1941, cuando la autora aún no había besado a nadie aún. :)

Esta es la letra:

Besame, besame mucho
como si fuera esta la noche
la ultima vez

Besame, besame mucho
que tengo miedo a perderte
perderte despues

Quiero tenerte muy cerca
mirarme en tus ojos
verte junto a mi
Piensa que tal vez mañana
yo ya estare lejos,
muy lejos de aqui

Besame, besame mucho
como si fuera esta noche
la ultima vez
Besame, besame mucho

Sharmaine, me pude hacer entender ahora? :)

Es raro escribir en castellano en el foro

Spanish to English translation:
I tried to translate the words of Besame Mucho, a wonderful bolero of Velézquez Consolation, written in 1941, when the author had not yet kissed anyone.

I adore the boleros, old, beautiful, tremendously sensual music. For that reason it said that in the translation much of the sensuality of the words is lost. The version which you put in the video is magnificent, had not listened to it before.

Sharmaine, I can be understood now?

It is rare to write in Castilian in the forum.

THANK YOU FAUSTINE - Muchas gracias mi amiga!
