Thank you so much, Sylvia's girl. He has a dreamy voice - I was wondering how it will work with documentary - it seems perfect. Do you happen to know when/if we will have a chance to see it in USA theaters? Can't find any info :( Like the music too.

DVD will be released, but I really keep my fingers crossed for you girls in the US.

As far as I know the DVDs in region 1 had a different voice over.
Region 2 had Sir Attenborough voice but the US version had Sigourney Weaver

Hopefully they will not do that again.

DVD will be released, but I really keep my fingers crossed for you girls in the UK.

As far as I know the DVDs in region 1 had a dirrent voice over.

Don't they dare! To get the best voice in the world and change it - it would be not only senselessness - but a crime! (only if there are some legal complications...)

Thing is that people like to hear a familiar voice when watching that kind of movie. That's why they use know actors or the ususal dubbing actors for dubbed versions. The German version of the previous Planet Earth editions have been voiced by a well known German actors.

I assume Sir Attenborough is not that recognizable in the US so they went for Sigourney Weaver.

I can understand that, but now with Daniel being known in the US (maybe even more after C&A and Tattoo) I can imagine that they don't make a new soundtrack for the region 1 release.
