The first of the two new interviews is with Ana Endara, the extras casting director in Panama.
Endara discusses how she first contacted the Bolivian Embassy upon learning the country would be featured in the film. She also mentions casting some of the extras from an indigenous tribe in Panama and the process they must go through in getting to the set each day.

The second interview is with 2nd assistant director Toby Hefferman.
On set in Panama, Heffman explains that he works alongside the first AD in coordinating the backround, cars and other crew members.
‘We get up early and get in a few hours before call,’ he says. ‘Get actors, extras and everything ready. Throughout the day, it’s very diverse. From one scene it can be 750 extras like we’re doing now or it can be two actors doing nothing in a room, but each have their complications.

The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

Aston Martin DBS driver says he is `lucky to be alive`

The driver of 007’s Aston Martin DBS which plunged into a 150ft-deep lake said yesterday: “I’m lucky to be alive.”

Supercar engineer Fraser Dunn, 29, was knocked out as the £134,000 motor skidded off the road near Italy’s Lake Garda, where Bond movie Quantum Of Solace is being filmed, reports The Sun.

Fraser, who escaped with bruises, said: “The whole thing was James Bond-like. When I came to, the car was at the bottom of the lake.

“I kicked out of the car and swam to the surface. My lungs felt as if they were going to explode.”

The car was a write-off after Sunday’s crash.

Fraser, of Leamington Spa, Warwicks, said: “It’s very embarrassing.”

New Bond girl Gemma Arterton lands role after role

In a celebrity culture dominated by Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton comes Gemma Arterton to make headlines for all the right reasons - reports The Courier Mail.

At 22, six months out of acting school, the young Brit (who plays the head girl in St Trinians) lands a job as Daniel Craig's sidekick in the latest 007 film, Quantum of Solace.

But she starts work on the set of James Bond, she wraps up two other films.

She plays June in Guy Ritchie's new film RocknRolla.

That's Guy Ritchie - Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels - as in Madonna's husband.

Rocknrolla's another gangster story about London's criminal underworld where a Russian mobster's shady land deal, turns out to be a scam that puts millions of dollars up for grabs.

Gemma's opposite number in RocknRolla is Gerard Butler (The 300, Nim's Island and PS I Love You).

She was playing Rosaline in Shakespeare's Love’s Labour’s Lost when Quatum of Solace director Marc Forster noticed her and asked her to audition for him.

She in an interview earlier this year, that she was on a diving boat in the middle of the ocean filming the last scene for a British comedy called Three and Out when she found out she got the part.

"The producer got a phone call from my agent and passed the phone over and he just sang the Bond theme down the phone to me. And I was like, "Nooo! Oh, my God." "

"Then I had to dive off the boat. I had to pretend that I wasn't overflowing with happiness because of the scene. Then we had dinner and lots and lots of champagne to celebrate."

She attended the premiere of Three and Out this week.

Gemma, who is completely topless in the bedroom scene, admitted she can’t watch it herself but added: “I don’t mind my parents watching it. It’s awkward but they’re OK with these things.”

And when asked how you prepare for your first ever nude scene, the sexy 22-year-old joked: “Shave your legs and buff your nails!”

Who does Gemma Arterton rate the best kisser?

Who does Gemma Arterton rate the best kisser?

Daniel Craig or Mackenzie Crook?

22/04/2008

We reckon Gemma Arterton was being a bit too polite when we asked her who was the better kisser.

The Bond girl gave me a cuddle but wouldn't dish the dirt when we met at the premiere of Three and Out, her new flick with Crook.

She told us: "Daniel is absolutely amazing with a brilliant body.

"But Mackenzie and I had lots of fun on set. Both are great kissers - Daniel is very passionate and Mackenzie is very tender."

Hmmm.
