Casino Royale is on Netflix, so I indulged yesterday on our new 4K TV. So many great scenes and lines in that movie. Anyway, I found a couple of videos behind the scenes video which includes interviews with Daniel on-set. New to me. Quality of the first one isn't that great, but boy, wasn't he dynamite in CR!

It's part of the DVD. I love watching BTS....you can see and sense really interesting things going on. It's quite funny sometimes.

yeah dunda, its like moving backwards in time. god, we were crazy and it was such fun. incredible we are still here.
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

I love this deleted scene and would have loved if it made its way into the final film...Perhaps change the music cue which is way too dramatic coming out of the torture scene. There's something so humbling about seeing the 'Indestructible James Bond' on a hospital bed and looking like he's a goner. He's a very humanistic element and would have undeniably played into the more 'real' tone of the film. Some brilliant acting on display from Craig as well - really showing the younger Bond's more impulsive behaviour (which mirrors his actions in shooting Mollaka and trying to stab Le Chiffre).

God....Remember how well written a character Bond was in CR. I only hope NTTD goes back to these halcyon days.

I do understand why the scene was deleted - in fact, it was 100% the right decision. You already have the shorter scene in the hospital (which is more than enough) and the shot of DC's eyes waking up is more captivating. Plus, the scene that follows with Mathis is basically the EXACT same scene as the one that preceded it. It would have been way too repetitive.

But I just wish Campbell was indulgent enough to have included it nevertheless....

I'm feeling weirdly obsessive over DC's look during the casino scenes in CR. I've spend the last few days Googling clips and screencaps, comparing scenes and feel his hair fluctuates massively. Sometimes, it looks great, other times flat or messy. Its sooooo odd. Partially, I think Martin Campbell and his DP are to blame for picking unflattering angels. But DC's hair looks a little fried, especially in comparison with Layer Cake where it looked more natural.

for this reason, I know it's a weird request.....But, could each of us post our favourite photo or look of DC from the casino scenes in CR. I still feel very strongly that they should have parted his hair!!!

This shot is by far my least favourite.....

Remember these iconic set photos.....I was 15 and avidly following this film. It breaks back so many memories of going on my laptop during English class and being so excited.

For much of CR, his hair is (as you best describe) situational. It's all very dependent on the context of the sequence. However, there are moments, where it really should be elegant, but it's not. Perhaps it's the age of the film showing through. You could argue it's very '2006' and of action stars of that era - folk like Tom Cruise or Colin Farrell.

For example here:

However, during the below scene it's perfect....If only they kept this style for the poker scenes themselves. Once again, this is nitpicking and I accept people have different perspectives.

Can anyone confirm if this is Daniel in this bathroom fight at 2:17? I put the YouTube video on 0.25 speed and looked at each shot and to my eye, it looks like Daniel.

It's the shot with the reflection in the mirror when he bashes his enemy's hand against the mirror.

Yes its him. There are couple of moments its not him, but in this whole scene it is mostly him. Its not him in the shot from above when they move inside the toilet cabin, two frames after when they coming out of it. It is him in all near the sink frames.

I wish they styled his hair like this during the casino scenes. The more classical look would have suited those sequences. This photo was taken a few months after CR wrapped in 2006 at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

I put a challenge out to everyone on this forum to find a screencap from CR's casino scenes where Craig's hair looks half as good as it does here.
