Now we know..
how much it will cost us, to spend a day with DC.
London charity dinner raises £28m
Bill Clinton made a speech. Prince rehearsed his sell-out concert. Madonna, the ultimate material girl, made an appeal.
The result was the most successful charity dinner in British history with £28 million raised in barely four hours at Marlborough House in Pall Mall, London.
Guests paid up to £100,000 for a table of 10 while raffle tickets were a more modestly priced £1,000. Each.
The dinner was organised by Absolute Return for Kids, founded by Arpad "Arki" Busson, the multi-millionaire French financier. The most expensive lot, a safari in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, fetched £480,000. A similar price was paid for a day on location with Daniel Craig, the James Bond actor.
Lucky her (it must be a woman) to have enough money to buy herself

I don`t think she will be much into sharing either.

The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

What a lucky cow indeed!
Hey is it just me or does Dan engage in children's charities a lot? I read about another event just recently, can't remember what exactly it was but it had to do with children as well. I'd be happy if he did, it sure is a worthy cause.

When I saw this post I thought - 'oh my god, one of the forum members has actually paid up!' But then when I saw the price, I thought 'no way!'
(Sorry to anybody here who is actually this rich, and if you are, you should have paid to have Daniel already!)
So whoever she (I'm guessing that) is, I hope she enjoys her day - she is one lucky person.
I wonder where she'll go and what she'll do - even though the prize was to spend a day on location with Daniel, do you think she'll acutally get to speak to him etc.?

Good God - at around £480,000 I would want to be able to kiss his gorgeous philtrum for that! What a lucky person. Good luck to them. I'm sure Dan will be gracious if he has to spend time with them.
I will be keeping my eye on our Government's money....and off your perfectly formed arse - You noticed!!
For that much money, I'm sure she'll get more than a "hello, how are you?"shopper12 wrote:I wonder where she'll go and what she'll do - even though the prize was to spend a day on location with Daniel, do you think she'll acutally get to speak to him etc.?
I have nowhere close to that much money to spend. I am glad that those who can afford it have chosen to bid on charities that help children. Children are so vulnerable and it just really kills me how so many of the world's children are left to fend for themselves in horrible situations. I never thought about stuff like this before, until I had a child of my own.

Deep Pockets for Daniel
Okay. I'll fess up. It was me.
wait...serious? I hope not. Then I would have to kill you and write that specific item into your will for you to give to me.
JUST KIDDING!
But yeah, I'm toooootally envious. I saw this, and went...Oh my gosh WHY COULDN'T I HAD BEEN THERE?! Although, considering I'm a teenager with about $90 total that I control, that would have been difficult. But--AAH!
If it is really you, then cool. If not...I'm reeeeeally gullible, and I'm trying not to act it. Just as a public service anouncement.
I wish I had a clue what I meant to say in this post. Thankyou for humoring my idiocy.

What I like about this, is that he sets himself up for situations, he would normally n o t care to be in, but does it anyway for things, he believes in.
Also, I was smiling by the thought, imagining him thinking
"No one will bet a lot for me"
And - to get a sum as high as this, lots of people must have bet. Its just nice, to see people are that interested in him.

That is a lot of money.
You have to have a lot of money to think that's reasonable. He'd have to sire my first child for me to pay that much. That would be worth it.
"Cause then they would be bad"
