Re: Here's an article...about Amy.
Wow, I checked out her myspace site that was advertised in the article, and you're right, she does sound Shirley Bassey-ish! I can totally imagine her doing the title song now. I still think the Bond girl thing is just a rumour though, perhaps loosely based on that MI6 article posted above.SheKnowsWhoIam79 wrote:http://www.threeimaginarygirls.com/amyw ... e07feb.asp

I like her voice and can see her doing a theme tune. There was a rumour The Killers had been asked but I think that would be too similar to Chris Cornell type of music.
In terms of my earlier comments I think she has done as much to set herself up in the press and give herself an image. Its an image I personally don't like, but each to their own.
Daniel on the otherhand had no real image in the press so they've had to make one up for him, some good, some not so good.

That Mi6 article is probably more true than the others, even though we don't even know if that's true.
She does have a geat jazz voice that could be good for the new rugged Bond style, but I still think she's a little chavvy or common to be part of a Bond film? I mean, she gets drunk and high all the time!
P.S. I am not trying to sound like an amysnotbondgirl website, just voicing my opinion...

Good to see Daniel.
I prefer not to guess the plot unless it's Harry Potter, I guess plots for HP books all day long, but for this movie, I'm trying to wait and see. It will be good just to see Daniel on screen.

True. I didn't guess the last film and when I saw it at the cinema it was mindblowing.SheKnowsWhoIam79 wrote:I prefer not to guess the plot unless it's Harry Potter, I guess plots for HP books all day long, but for this movie, I'm trying to wait and see. This thread is an interesting read! And a lot of the comments about Amy not looking like a Bond girl are scarily sounding like the comments made about Daniel not so long ago...and we know how much truth there is in the bad press Daniel's had.
Amy is feisty and, erm, likes to talk too much maybe...especially after a drink, but she's talented and professional when it matters.
I think she'd do a crackin' job of the theme tune
Oh- and having tattoos doesn't make you a bad girl, or scummy etc. Even DC loving, respectable, married, church going mums of 2 have tatts- 2 to be precise

This thread
This thread was pretty much the meanest thing on the whole site. I'm done with speculation though. I just hope the movie is good and be done. Whoever they pick to be a bond girl, that's who they pick. Whoever sings the song, that's who sings it. If I don't want to see it, I won't. End game.
I did reread this whole thread, and i still maintain it's the meanest. We're all usually really nice here, so it shocked me at first, but--this is the internet.
For what it's worth its a great place to be mean.
I'm hoping Bond 22 rocks our socks.

Debunking
There was more debunking than that, but I don't remember which scene. I think that she still maybe be singing the theme song, at least I hope so. No one's debunked that yet right? I never knew so many people disliked Amy Winehouse, but I should've guessed as much.
Maybe Paris Hilton will be the bond girl instead. Once she finishes her 45 days...that would steam people up wouldn't it?
