Thx to thebondprotocol instagram account I got the article. The photos are all we've seen in EW and press releases, but the interesting part is the interview. It is in Italian, but thx to Google translate and my little knowledge of Italian at least we can read it. Sorry if it is not really great translation, but anyway. Enjoy yor read....

I WILL GET MY LAST BULLET
"I wanted to quit after Specter" confesses Daniel Craig in this exclusive interview. In which he explains why in No Time To Die he says goodbye to Bond. "The next? Maybe it will be black”.
by Angelo Carotenuto
NEW YORK. With a cup of American coffee in his hands and fifteen years of 007 that run through his thoughts, in front of the last cast iron buildings of Tribeca - the houses with red bricks and fire stairs - in the portion of New York farthest from the hustle and bustle and closer to the idea that we made this city when we were kids watching the TV shows, agent Daniel Craig sighs and yes, it is now really done, it's over, that's enough. "Italy?" question. Yes, Italy. Then he says about Matera and the toast at the restaurant with the troupe to celebrate the end of the shoot, or about that Roman evening with Paolo Sorentino and his family. The Bond plus Bond of all prepares for retirement. He began the public undressing of a suit, a role and a mask that perhaps and in any case he will never take off. Sean Connery remained in service for nine years and six films, yet he is still Bond. Roger Moore has practiced for queen in twelve years and seven films, but in the imaginary he has not stopped being even after leaving. Daniel Craig has surpassed them in longevity tutus, albeit with fewer films. No time To Die is the fifth, but above all the last because "I already wanted to leave after Specter, I said it, I was very tired, but there was this last story to tell and I had to be there".
When in 2005 he entered the role of the most famous agent in the world, one of the few literary characters who survived even his author, Daniel Craig discovered that he had to face the hostility of those who found him without muscles and without enough charisma to take the place of Pierce Brosnan. How would a bass and blond actor play 007, tall, brown and charming? The New York Times described him as a pale-faced, flattened man with fleshy ears, which was hardly the best contribution to overcoming resistance.
Fifteen years later, Craig leads a 007 that doubled the box office figures, thus marking the history of a role in BC. and d. C., ahead Craig and after Craig. «When I started with Casino Royale he tells me I said that I had to live this chance without imitating who had come before me. I tried to give him the look of a person just out of the army. A Special Forces soldier entered the secret services. I didn't know how many times I'd be Bond. But I wanted to have a world to bring to the screens.
A world that had less glamor?
"The point is to establish what is glamor. I am a history buff. There is a tradition in my family. My grandfather was a great tailor. When they dress me on a set, we want them the right way. For me the glamor is also what I wanted it to be exhibited in the personage. As for Aston Martin. I like Aston Martin, but in my masta in the background because glamor has more style when it is not slammed in the face ».
What prompted you to leave?
“I finished Spectre with a broken leg. It's not a marvelous experience to call your wife from a corner of the world and tell her that you broke your leg. I didn't want her to feel that again. Being a Bond is not a dangerous job. There are more risky ones. A leg can break even if you play football on the weekend with friends. It's a physical role, though. Perhaps certain accidents are even inevitable. "
Is there anything you learned thanks to James Bond?
“I do not know. I was already very good at drinking before. To shoot the cable. I don't like to lead. Maybe I learned the value of collaboration. Each job teaches to be in a group. In all films it happens. With Bond the experience has been greater because in every sector I have dealt with the best specialists. I didn't know how to do it before, maybe I didn't have enough confidence in myself to trust others. Now don't know less. With Bond, my homework has grown. I asked to add my ideas into production. I knew I could play James Bond but I wanted more, I wanted to feel like my James Bond. I had a casting role, I said mine about music. I could have my say on everything. This, I believe, that in the end I will miss Bond: the James Bond family ».
«OF CERTAIN IT IS NOT FROM HIM THAT I LEARNED TO DRINK. I WAS VERY GOOD AT MYSELF »
Ahead of Craig and after Craig. Have female roles changed with you?
«I like to think so. I cannot apologize on behalf of James Bond for the heap of flaws he has, especially in relations with women. But in my 15 years something has happened. In my films it happened to see him fall in love, to see him betrayed, to see him suffer. It didn't happen before. All the women who joined the cast were not chosen for their beauty, but because they were very good actresses. They would have given an extra touch to the project. In this I believe I have left a legacy ».
Are we ready to have an African American James Bond? Or a James Bond woman?
«For a black Bond, yes. For a woman, I ask myself another question: is there a need? Choosing an actress for Bond pier is not an answer. There are better answers. First of all, I think, writing stronger and more credible roles for women in Bond films. Roles as good as Bond's. Here, this should be discussed. I hear a lot of opinions on who is to come now. For me it was an honor to play a role that belongs to the history of cinema. The only advice I can give is: don't think of a man or woman, white or African American. Think about getting a good Bond».
In 15 years of Bond, have you understood who this man is? A conservative or a progressive? Did you vote for Brexit to stay in Europe?
"I have a romantic idea of who James Bond is. A man who does civil service. He is faithful to the crown because he is faithful to his subjects. He doesn't care who is in power, he protects people before protecting a country. What this means after Brexit, I don't know. But there is no Brexit in this film. We didn't want to show it. I am a strong supporter of Europe, in my head I feel European, I think Brexit was a huge mistake, but it has now happened, we will have to deal with it. Britain will have a role in the world that we will have to discover, there will be a new way to stay close to each other. I like to think that the real James Bonds who stand outside this window doing their job are intelligent people. Men or women who they are. People who are taking care of us. I don't know what their methods are, but one thing is that they are working well: they are keeping peace. In MI6 there are no heroes, nobody knows their names. It is when we hear about their work that we have to worry. This is why I think it is romantic to have people appointed to protect a people. Not a party. Not a prime minister. A people ».
Is there a risk of being devoured by a character like Bond?
«When you are young you want to work. You want to do everything. If you happen to a part that determines you and for which you will be recognized forever, if it is also successful, you cannot complain about it. In my roles outside of Bond I have not looked for roles against Bond. I had some because I like to work, not to detoxify from 007. The most difficult thing in the intervals was getting in shape. A role imprisons you if you allow it. I am not James Bond. Ask my wife. "
Why do you think the public likes a cold-blooded killer so much that he can't behave with women?
“I tried to play Bond as a man who is shaken by what happens to him. The first time in Casino Royale I killed, I imagined that it was right to give the idea of a man in shock, touched by the consequences of that action. Bond films begin with a world to be saved and end with a world that has been saved. What's in it depends on your creativity. In the midst of me, who has always tried to deal with a dilemma and if this time I don't have to do it? "
How much the theater done as a young man, how much are his readings finished in his interpretation of Bond?
«An actor always carries all his luggage with him. I started with the theater at 16-17 years old. There are other things to learn on a set: discipline, arriving on time, shooting the scene as you are asked. Everything I've read has shaped me. I loved Agatha Christie and Simenon. I discovered a romantic idea of spies in Fleming. Empathize with them, enter the novel. I tried to give it a dark side, a hardness. There are no sentimentalisms. I don't like sweetened characters. In my opinion, to be a spy, you have to be tough. It's sad but I guess spies don't have real relationships. When you're a secret agent, it's all fake. You make friends and relationships in Russia and then you have to destroy everything. It is sad from the human point of view, but very interesting and fascinating from the artistic point of view ».
Who would Bond's enemies be in today's world?
"There are many. I'm a big fan of democracy. It has worked for so long and I think it will continue to work in the future. We need good leaders in the world, capable of not betraying or abandoning friends. Here, any pollitic leader behaves differently and one James Bond's potential enemy »
Craig, one last thing. Tell the truth so much will remain a secret. In the movie Bond dies?
«Bond doesn't die. Bond never dies».
