Nothing I think.

He talks a lot about all his films he has made. It's insightful, Daniel has a talking head segment in it.

When I read these posts, I remembered that in October 2012 I had recorded on the Skybox 'Sam Mendes: Licence to Thrill', a Culture Show special when Mark Kermode talked to Sam Mendes about Skyfall and the director's career in both film and theatre. I hadn’t deleted the programme so I've just watched it again. I’ve transcribed this snippet from the first part of the programme where they discuss Skyfall.

Mark Kermode: I still think of Daniel Craig as the best Bond. I think he is the best embodiment of Bond.

Sam Mendes: I think Daniel is now, you know, at the top of the first division. He’s probably the hardest working and the most committed actor I have ever met. I suppose I have never watched anyone have to bear the burden of a movie so much as he, in every respect. Not just the fact that’s he’s in almost every scene, he’s physically challenged all the time. And the movie makes no bones about the fact that he’s in his forties. And I don’t think any Bond has had to hear so many times, ‘You’re too old, stop, you know, give up’… So he had to sort of allow himself to go into that territory.
