It does not matter if the break was amicable or not, whether it was mutually agreeable or not, whether there was cheating on any side or not........she must be feeling pretty peculiar right now to see the news.

It is always a strange feeling to see someone one was once close to move on in such a defined way.

I hope she is okay.
Agreed. Its a good day to spare a few thoughts on her. She sure is one hell of a classy woman, whom I still like a lot. Its been a year now, so there was already time to heal a bit.

I am almost sure, though, he told her beforehand. Part of me thinks, they still communicate or Sats at least over Ella.
Very true. She could have sold her story 10 times over for millions of dollars (and for revenge if she had a mind to) and yet still she kept quiet.

If people cannot admire her for anything else, she deserves admiration for that fact alone.

Very like Heike in that respect. Just a dignified silence on events.
In retrospect, I share these thoughts and feelings 100%. That's why I now think she was so right for him. I didn't know enough about her before...

There is a big scene in "When Harry Met Sally" where she falls apart because she learns her ex-boyfriend (after having lived together for some time) remarried very soon after they broke up. Her distress was not that he re-married but that she realized he didn't want to marry her.

Even if Sats is so over this relationship, she still must be hurt that after 5 years (and an engagement) he didn't want to marry her.
"It's when things are unclear and when you don't know what you're doing--that's when things are difficult." Daniel Craig

I agree with you, that is very true in all situations, my husband left me abruptly after 30 years or marriage, met a bartender married her after a few months and that was a huge blow to me, made me think wasn't I good enough all those years.

I know. I'm trying to be happy for Daniel but when I was really gung-ho here on the board, and REALLy into Daniel, was when he was with Satsuki. So now I feel a little heartbroken for her. I know it's silly.

Very true. My respect and love is still there. She has done too much in the Bond time to be forgotten (and Dan is the complete opposite of heartless). I'm sure she still has a lot of respect for Dan as well that's why she won't say a word.

satsuki we all know will have a special place in daniels heart, she saw him through major changes in his life and supported him, helped raise ella and was always low key figure and allowed daniel his spotlight,
for that i am grateful as a fan and as a woman

as lainey said once regarding red carpet events:
'Word is he’s extremely uncomfortable at these events. Which is why he seems to cling to her for support. It’s very sweet..'

Indeed.

It was something really that this Telegraph journalist ended her article with some compassion for Sats, albeit tongue in cheek, too:
Still, if you’re feeling bad today, spare a thought for Satsuki Mitchell, Craig’s girlfriend of five years (and according to some reports, fiancée) from whom he split just months ago. I hope she spent the day surrounded by gorgeous men, and not weeping in front of a DVD of Casino Royale (although it might be some consolation watching one’s ex having his testicles flayed).

To her, and all you women still bitterly digesting the Craig nuptials, I prescribe round-the-clock watching of Daniel as Geordie from Our Friends in the North: hairy period. Failing that, I offer this nugget: George Clooney is once again on the market…

well he once described her as love of his life and his rock...as we know a person can have more than one love of his life and there are more than one rock on the beach of life but each one remains sacred and precious
is to why he no doubt took care of her why they split so well, he has much to thank her for

Just feeling a bit melancholy over the failed relationship. I'd be 100% good with it if Sats were 100% good with it too. Just wondering if these pics have been pulled off for the library. The first is a lovely pic from the Met. The ones immediately following were taken in Toronto on Rachel's BD. He and Sats look very unhappy.

I always like Sats. Part of his appeal was his relationship with her. I admit that my appeal for him dimmed a wee bit with how the relationship seemed to have ended. I don't know what happened but I feel for Sats. It has to hurt that the man you spent years with meets another woman and up and marries her. :(

Your good right to think like this, but we don't KNOW, how it ended. Saying he did it the wrong way just because she is hurt - dunno...He could have been an angel and still it would hurt. Not saying he was but saying, we don't know...
The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..
