It was as good as the elephant as a daemon question Thanks for posting and uploading!
The interviews are all from the same junket, I think? So I suppose they set him up on a chair in front of the poster and just the interviewer kept changing...

I think that's a pretty standard practice. Remember the Casino Royale interviews with the big Casino Royale poster in the background?Anglophile wrote:OMG, imagine that - interview marathon! Part of the job - but for someone like Dan, who isn´t very comfy with free talking - it must be stressful. He would probably rather go up that crane again all day than doing the interviews.Anglophile wrote:OMG, imagine that - interview marathon! The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..
I heard something awful on the radio the other day....the announcers were talking about how they have witnessed the paparazzi purposely driving celebrities crazy in order to get any sort of reaction for a particular photo.
For example....a female celebrity is rumoured to have become pregnant or doesn't look as thin as she should be and they would yell out derogatory statements in order to get under their skin....It's exactly what they want if the celebrity becomes affected and reacts....and then splashed all over the next day's tabloids. When I heard this....I thought....
1) how unprofessional, nasty, tactless this is and
2) is it any wonder that many celebrities (our lovely man included) have learned to become literally "poker-faced" in order to not show any emotion, otherwise a bad photo would be taken out of context
3) which makes the minotaur/centaur even more charming I think
Based on his screen performances, I have no doubt that Daniel is a very sensitive, emotional person. He's handling it all very well and if a smart interviewer is able to make him laugh....it's all gravy.

I was never interested in those tabloid reporting methods -before Daniel that is. If one follows his interviews and see, what they often make of it - you could .
Anyway, I think for the reporters, the celebs are their meat to make a living on - and they play them the best way they can - and nothing seems too sordid. Actually I am always worried, that Daniel will fall into one of their traps some day, like the incident with that Johan Hari guy at the Baftas.
But he is doing fine - he sort of managed to train them a bit. They hardly dare to ask about Bond these days... Now, just a short question about Bond 22..
