Rachel Weisz – Timothy Spall Holocaust Denier Drama ‘Denial’ Plots September Release

Bleecker Street will open Mick Jackson’s Denial on Sept. 30. Pic is based on the novel History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier.
Denial follows Deborah E. Lipstadt’s (Rachel Weisz) legal crusade for historical truth against David Irving (Timothy Spall), who accused her of libel when she declared him a Holocaust denier.

Pic also stars Tom Wilkinson and was adapted for the screen by The Reader scribe David Hare. Producers are Gary Foster and Russ Krasnoff. Participant Media’s Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King, BBC Films’ Christine Langan and Joe Oppenheimer, Bleecker Street’s Andrew Karpen, and Shoebox Films Guy Heeley are EPs.

The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

Interesting and she always chooses intriguing roles. I may see it when it comes out on iTunes...ya, and it isn't even released in the cinemas as of yet.

She is so talented and doesn't seem to choose the roles that would be "popular" rather she chooses challenging pieces with interesting scripts. Good for her.
