I never said it wasn't, Sylvia I thought I made it quite clear in my post It happens very often, actually, but I just don't think it's the case with Daniel, who will be perfectly aware when he should leave. And he'll never impose himself on the producers or audiences if he's no longer welcome. If the producers decide he's too old, they'll simply tell him to go, so how could he even overstay his welcome in this case? If they want to keep him, they will, but then, it wouldn't be overstaying his welcome, as he WILL be welcome, right? That's what I meantSylvia's girl wrote:Oh I disagree, I think it's possible to unknowingly overextend ones welcome.

Oh, Daniel will be back for two more - without question, IMO. BB loves him, he is arguably the best Bond, DC gets $25M for a single film (he won't quit that), and Sean Connery was 53 when he did his last Bond. Daniel isn't wearing a toupee and has a better body.
I'd rather they get the script right even if it takes another year. Just show me some short sleeve t-shirt pics this summer and I'm happy . But dang, it has been a long time since he's been on a movie set. It's not for his lack of trying though. MM and TWT came close.
On a side note, if he had done MM (which is a good thing he didn't), I wonder if he would have participated in Kimmel's Mean Tweet gag, where celebs read mean tweets posted about themselves. Their publicists are give a list of them and it's decided if they will participate or not. Then the celeb reads a few and the show selects which one to air. Daniel's would probably be about his ears .

I agree, sf2la, Daniel has two more to do and he's perfectly fit for that. Physically he looks the fittest of all Bond actors, imo. And yes, him not wearing a toupee is a very strong argument Not to mention the perfect body, ofc.
I also agree about the script, they'd better work on it to refine it and take care of all the details to avoid the "plot holes" criticisms. I'd like it to be a great movie which won't provide whiners with a pretext for attacking it. However, I'd rather it didn't take them the whole year. But that's because I really miss Daniel on screen.
The Mean Tweet Gag was hilarious, thanks for posting. The tweets were mean indeed and I liked their reactions to them
A funny thing - I can't recall ANY really mean, offensive tweets about Daniel, nothing like those quoted in Kimmel's show. Sometimes somebody says they don't like him as Bond or that they prefer another Bond actor, but people do not insult him on Twitter, most of the tweets are very positive and full of praise, and they come from both male and female posters. That's the impression I get at least. There probably have occasionally been some bad ones, but I must have missed them, which is actually a good thing, as I hate when someone criticises or speaks ill of him.

That's interesting, Alina. If someone could write mean tweets about Kimmel, I thought every celebrity got them. Bless you got reading the tweets for us and posting the ones you do. I love them. It's also often the only way yo know where he is.
This is an interesting article that was just posted.

I would love to read some bad - just for kicks - if there are any. If you come across any, please post! Lol. I mean, it would be pathetic to kick someone when they are down, but DC is just too perfect for negative comments to affect me. You'd have to title them "Mean Tweets for Kimmel" .Sylvia's girl wrote:He certainly gets more good than bad...

Right, and the "bad" ones are not really bad and they are quite rare.Sylvia's girl wrote:He certainly gets more good than bad...

The trouble is, if anyone tweets anything too derogatory about Daniel, I have this compulsion to tweet them back and give them a piece of my mind. It takes all my willpower to ignore it.Alina wrote:Right, and the "bad" ones are not really bad and they are quite rare.Sylvia's girl wrote:He certainly gets more good than bad...

I totally understand. I end up defending him a lot. If you invest the time and energy to see all the sides of Daniel, he can come across as being a one-dimensional, arrogant, difficult, entitled celeb with zero sense of humor. It all depends on the interviews you see and the awareness of the charitable things he does.
I would be tempted to agree with you, but Connery's Bond was never as physically demanding as DC's. Even Daniel admitted that playing Bond becomes harder and harder with age.sf2la wrote:Oh, Daniel will be back for two more - without question, IMO. I think it is a pity that for various reasons (except for CR and QoS) the distance between his Bond movies is so big.
On the other hand, I think it is also a pity that a man of his huge talent is sort of "confined" to Bond. IMO opinion, since 2007 and outside 007, the other two works worth mentioning are TGWTDT and Betrayal (haven't seen A Steady Rain). The rest of the movies are more or less mediocre. He seems to have been quite unlucky in this respect.
I wonder if he will ever decide to go back to theatre on a more regular basis. I have just seen Sam Mendes' King Lear and Simon Russell Beale was breathtaking imo (I know the critics were divided). Watching his performance, I was thinking I would so love to see DC in more consistent parts, be it in movies or on stage. Something difficult, challenging, complex, unnerving...
Of course he is very much entitled to give up acting and just focus on his private life. But I speak like the selfish fan that I am.
Luckily, I haven't seen any bad ones, honestly. Yesterday someone posted that Brosnan was better, but someone else wrote that Daniel is even better than Connery. All the others are about how hot he is and what a good actor he is.sf2la wrote: I would love to read some bad - just for kicks - if there are any. If you gone across any, please post! Lol. Actually the idea of posting some 'bad ones' also occurred to me after I saw the Kimmel video, although like I said, I get critical opinions about him quite badly. However, a few could be posted, why not? You are right, Daniel is too perfect for some daft criticism to be taken seriously. But I just can't help getting angry when I see some negative and unfair opinions.
Nevertheless, ther aren't ANY at the moment

If you don't like Daniel Craig as James Bond there is something seriously wrong with you
I have exactly the same And I sometimes fail to ignore them, but they are mainly about Bond and nothing really offensive.Sylvia's girl wrote: The trouble is, if anyone tweets anything too derogatory about Daniel, I have this compulsion to tweet them back and give them a piece of my mind. PS I can't recall Daniel saying that playing Bond gets harder and harder for him with age, I think he referred to stripping for Bond
Daniel Craig says it's getting "harder and harder" to do nude scenes in James Bond movies as he gets older, but he hopes his raunchy parts add to film franchise's "sexiness".
He could give up more physical work to his stunt trouble. I don't know - I can't imagine him walking away from that kind of movie or 'quitting.' It's widely known that he signed on for two, and what's a couple extra waiting years for him?
I would guess that Daniel like to work, but I think we women like our men to work just as much or more - at least at his age. Except for looking at and having sex, even DC could get boring to be around . I'm sure Rachel is far more interesting to him because she has a life outside his.
