Well, holy s**t, this looks amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've always thought that Daniel is very good at accents. The trailer on a pc alone made shivers go down my spine and brought tears to my eyes! I can't wait to see it!! My only concern is the release date ... will it not clash, or be a bit too close, to Bond 22???

Thanks for sharing this!! :)

I have no idea what language this site is in, but I found this picture of the partisans portrayed in Defiance. If you search (sok) Defiance, there is a small article... Anyone able to translate?

Edward Zwick’s Defiance Trailer Starring Daniel Craig
Posted by Sean on January 18th, 2008 Filed under: Drama, Trailers
Director Edward Zwick (Blood Diamond, The Last Samurai, Glory) is back with another one of his inspirational war stories. This time he is retelling the true story of three Jewish brothers who escape from Nazi-occupied Poland into a forest near Russia. There they build a fortified village inside the forest and team up with a Russian resistance group in order to save the lives of over 1200 Jews.
I know a lot of people are divided on Zwick’s movies, but the only one I’ve seen recently is Blood Diamond (which I enjoyed). It looks like there may be some decent action in this movie, although the fact that it’s coming out in December makes it seem like pretty obvious Oscar bait. Defiance hits theatres on December 26th, 2008; check out the trailer below.

He will be busy like hell promoting Bond AND Defiance.

As you noticed, I sent you a PM. Thanks for being understandable.
I'll post here what I wrote to you:

"Yes, it would be great if I could. But I can't. When I've tried before I've failed. I wish I could do it.
Sorry.
Now I don't know what to reply in the thread. I get the feeling people will think I don't want to do it, because I'm lazy and I don't care about it.
What do you think I should do?
Oh, and don't feel bad that you asked. You didn't know I'm not able to do it. Usually people can translate. But I'm not like most people."

I feel bad that I can't do these things, and I wish I could help.

It seems good to see that Daniel isn't going to get typcast as Bond throughout his career. He is such a good actor and playing all these different roles is what he does best.

I bought this "gossip" magazine today and there was an article about the new Bond girl and there was a little picture of Daniel filming Bond 22 and the caption said "looks good but we prefer you in your trunks" and it made me mad really, because Daniel is so much more than a "hunk in a pair of trunks". He is too interesting to be that banal.

From an online translator:

The director Edward Zwick (Blood Diamond, 2006) is during preparations to direct the war drama Defiance. The document takes place during the other world war and is based on this genuine historien about three judiska brothers that live in it nazi-ockuperade the pole. Of clear reasons escapes the away the occupiers from the third country and ports in it Belaryska the forest. There allierar they itself with Russian obstruction men and begins to control the Nazi. In the forest, they build a classified village there they pursue 1200 Jews and salvages thus the life on them.

Manuscripts are typed of Zwick alone, with the aid of Clay Frohman (The Court-Martial of Jackie Robinson, 1990). The manuscript is based on Nechama Tecs book Defiance: The Bielski Partisans.

On the cast list, we see Daniel Craig (Casino Royale, The Jacket, Munich) Liev Schreiber (Jakob H scythes, Sphere) and Jamie Bell (Flags of Our Fathers, Billy Elliot) as they three judiska the brothers.

More contributory is Tomas Arana (Pearl Harbor, Gladiator) that comes to play it the dexterous obstruction conductor legs Zion and Alexa Davaos (The Chronicles of Riddick) in the role that Polish refugee and the subject for Craig role character eroticism.
