It has been usually quoted from The Sun (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sh ... 539209.ece), but the one posted above mentions a possible interview in a magazine called apparently "New!". We all know that Daniel would not breath a word to The Sun and that their stories are usually based on old rehashed bits, rumours or on articles in other magazines/newspapers. So I suppose there has to be another source!

I just have never heard of "New!"... Does anyone know it? I tried to look it up on Google, but the results for "new!" "magazine" looked depressingly unpromising...

ROFL! When I read the headlines in my news alerts, I noticed the exact same things, Sun and all! Archaeologists disease

Thanks for the Inquirer interview Vicky, nice read!

I lovedddd the interview! Thanks! He's so smart, and funny, and gahhhh. I love his witty humor too. it's very charming. Dannggg, I wish I lived in Britain! hahahha.

As for the Dakota + swearing article... even though they got the fact she's NOT his daughter wrong, .... I wonder if the rest is true? If so, THAT'S WAY TOO FUNNY!
I honestly don't care that much about swearing... I swear all the time, even when I'm not mad. It's... probably a bad thing. But I'm a teen, so, w/e's. haha.

Mathieu Amalric Confirmed As 'Bond 22' VillainActor was first rumoured for the role in mid-November

Written by Devin Zydel on 05 Dec, 2007

Mathieu Amalric confirmed as Bond 22 villain
According to a report from Empire Online, Mathieu Amalric is now confirmed as the villain in Bond 22.

While he wouldn’t reveal a whole lot on his character, Amalric did reveal a few details, stating: ‘I will, it’s true. I play the villain, yes. James Bond. It has to do with childhood, you know? To be a villain in James Bond is just so funny. I never dreamt about that. It’s not what I want to do with my career. It’s just that I have kids and it’s so funny to do that. But it doesn’t mean that I’m not going to do a very small French film for free with my friends.’

Amalric’s name was first brought to the attention of James Bond fans in mid-November when a Fox News’ FOX411 column claimed the French actor had landed the role in next year’s 007 film. That report stated that despite no confirmation from Amalric at the time, ‘that was the word’ at a lunch that week for Le Scaphandre Et Le Papillon (The Diving Bell And The Butterfly), in which the actor stars.

A hot topic among Bond fans is whether or not Amalric will be playing the role of Vesper Lynd’s French-Algerian boyfriend (as originally revealed by Casino Royale’s Eva Green as the plan and and something that screenwriter Paul Haggis coyly refused to deny).

Bad news for all you tweed haters out there: It's all Daniel's fault!

This is from an interview with Ruth Myers who did the costuming for Golden Compass:
I have worked with Daniel before, so we have a history. We like each other very much. We have real trust and that is very important. Lord Asriel looked swashbuckling in the stage production. But it's not what I saw. Daniel and I talked about using this hand woven tweed from the '30s. I showed it to him and he said, “go for it!”

JAMES BOND - CHILD STAR RICHARDS: 'DANIEL CRAIG IS A BIG KID'

Child actress DAKOTA BLUE RICHARDS has blown JAMES BOND star DANIEL CRAIG's tough guy image - insisting the star is a "big kid". The 13-year-old stars alongside fellow Brit Craig in The Golden Compass - and claims the 39-year-old was the opposite of his brooding onscreen persona. She tells the New York Daily News, "He's going to hate me for saying this, but he's like a very big kid around me. He can be very immature and fun, and I liked hanging out with him."

BOND STAR CRAIG SETS HIS SIGHTS ON THE NORTHERN LIGHTS

JAMES BOND star DANIEL CRAIG is desperate to witness the Northern Lights after seeing the Arctic phenomena recreated on the big screen in his new film THE GOLDEN COMPASS.
The British actor has travelled extensively and visited some of the world's most famous attractions but now he's desperate to return to the Arctic just like his adventurer character in the family film.
He says, "I travelled up to the Arctic Circle as a child and I've been that far but I've never seen the lights.
"I've seen the midnight sun. I've been to Iceland and I've filmed up on the glaciers, but I'd love to see the Northern Lights." The lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are naturally created coloured light displays in the night sky.

I used to live in Alaska for a year, so I got to see the Northern Lights a good number of times. They're very VERY beautiful.... and it's really quite a sight to see. I recommend that every person put "see the Northern Lights" on their to-do list, because it's really worth it C:

I once saw one when I was flying back home from California. It looked like something from another world. I thought the plane was going to tip over because everyone was pressing their noses against the windows on the left side.

I was camping in Canada one summer, about 100 miles north of Toronto and we were convinced the lights we were seeing was Toronto under nuclear attack... until we realized we were looking north. :D 3 glorious night of the Aurora Borealis. My words could never describe the beauty.

People News
Private Daniel Craig

Dec 9, 2007, 7:30 GMT
Daniel Craig has vowed never to talk about his private life.
The James Bond star is renowned for refusing to talk about his life away from movies, but insists the reason he doesn't open up is because there is nothing to speak about.
He said: "I don't like talking about my personal life. If I start talking about it then it is out there. And someone talking about themselves all the time is, quite frankly, f***ing boring."
Daniel has also revealed he is being chased for a £200 debt because he couldn't stop swearing on the set film.
The Hollywood star set up a swearbox on the set of 'The Golden Compass' in a bid to keep his language "clean" in front of his 13-year-old co-star Dakota Blue Richards, but failed so miserably he now owes her a small fortune.
Daniel - who was paid a reported £5 million for his role in the film - admitted: "I didn't think I'd be the one who would have to cough up the money, but I just couldn't help myself.
"The whole thing just became a bit of a joke between me and Dakota.
"I thought if I had to pay a fine every time I swore I would keep my language clean, but I wouldn't realise I'd cursed until I heard someone shout, 'That's another pound!' I think the pot ended up at around £200."
'The Golden Compass', an epic fantasy based on the first novel in author Philip Pullman's hugely popular 'His Dark Materials' trilogy, is in cinemas now.

Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig sent death threats
Actors targeted because of controversial kids film The Golden Compass
Monday 10 December 2007

The cast of The Golden Compass - which stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig - have received death threats from religious zealots.
The controversial new film has been criticised by Roman Catholic groups in North America who think it promotes atheist values.
They are calling for the movie - based on Philip Pullman's book Northern Lights (also known as The Golden Compass) - to be boycotted.

And extremists have sent poisonous messages through the post.
'The amount of hate mail has been unbelievable,' says an insider.
'There have been death threats. Most of the backlash has been aimed at Pullman but even the cast has had their fair share of abuse.'
And Daniel, 39 – who plays Lord Asriel in the movie – says he can't understand why it's being targeted.
'I think the majority of people criticising it haven't read it,' he tells the Daily Star Sunday.
'These books are not anti-religious. Mainly they're anti-misuse of power – religious or political.'

OMG, that sounds terrible! Christian people can be extereme as well, not just Islamic fundamentalists - poor Daniel getting all of that hate mail. They should read the books first before jumping to conclusions!
