Daniel's name was randomly mentioned in an 'Saturday Night Live sketch last night.
"He's a mystery, like Daniel Craig.”
Not really sure what that joke is supposed to me. Is it a Bond reference?

Nathaniel Essex has always been a fan favorite villain and he can absolutely be the “Thanos” of the XCU. Did you notice he was born in London? That’s important and a huge key as to why Channing Tatum may be the key to all of this. In Logan Lucky, Tatum and Adam Driver got to play off a certain British actor who may have a free schedule after this one last particular spy film comes out. This actor can play intelligent, intimidating, and maybe now he’ll get to be sinister.
THERE ARE “CONVERSATIONS” ABOUT LOCKING UP DANIEL CRAIG TO BE NATHANIEL ESSEX, A.K.A. MR. SINISTER IN GAMBIT AND ALSO IN OTHER X-MEN MOVIES.
Craig is and will always be a great James Bond. He was also amazing, and award nomination worthy, as Joe Bang in Logan Lucky. Tatum praised his work in the movie and apparently this has rubbed onto FOX. Sure it’s a “comic book” role but after seeing how great Colossus looked in silver while watching Deadpool, this can be a fantastic role for Craig. He fits the look. I’m sure they have an idea of how NOT to “Apocalypse” him. He has the facial features for sure, just dye his hair, give him red glowing eyes, and really cool dialogue. And not only will he face off against Gambit, we can expect him to eventually face off against CABLE and the X-Men and/or X-Force!
