"These days, Sir Roger is rather taken by Daniel Craig’s modern interpretation of the spy.
He said: “I think Daniel Craig is completely with the current time. To me, he looks like a killer.
“Physically, he is tremendously powerful. I remember seeing Casino Royale, and after two minutes I think he had done more action than I did in seven whole films put together.
“I believe him. He gives a terrific performance.”

I don't know, I think it is a little bit unfair of us to be so critical on her looks. I, for one, find this media/public pressure to always look perfect/young a bit too much to take. After all it probably was a picture taken without her consent by paps, maybe she was having a rough time, a bad night before or a bad day, anything...For me it is somehow reassuring to see that even these public persons look normal when not on the red carpet.Germangirl wrote:Its terrible. For instance in the pictures taken at that gala in NY (the most recent ones) DC seemed to have some sort of a rash on the neck - I like seeing that they are just as normal as us, it sort of takes off the pressure.
I hope my post does not sound patronising or lecturing, it is not my intention at all But I just felt like saying these things.
And anyway as usual Daily Fail lives up to its a...hole-ish reputation: of all the pictures there are of BB, did they have to choose that one? I am sure her life as a woman in that world is already pretty tough, no need to add such little things to make it more interesting.
Yes, Sir Roger Moore has often praised Daniel as Bond and as an actor. He's a lovely man.Germangirl wrote:Yes, the Sir always jas lovely things to say about him and Daniel has returned the praise in his interviews.
I think those words of Sir Roger's are always worth remindingAfter your good self, is Sean Connery still your favorite Bond?
Well, I finished the book three or four months ago, but since then, I went to a screening of Skyfall and I’ve changed my opinion. I think that he [Daniel Craig] is the Bond. He’s quite brilliant. I wrote to Barbara [Broccoli] and Michael [Wilson] and said…they’ve guaranteed Bond another 50 years of life.
Presumably you’d seen the other two Daniel Craig Bond movies?
Yes, I thought Casino Royale was tremendous. I thought his action was quite extraordinary—he did more action in the first 30 seconds of the film than I did in 14 years of playing Bond. To me, he looks like a killer. He looks as though he knows what he’s doing. I look as though I might cheat at backgammon.
I think you’re underselling yourself, but I’m sure he’ll be delighted to hear that. It’s really a remarkable franchise, isn’t it? Over half the world has seen at least one James Bond movie, and more people have walked on the moon than played Bond.
I felt a tremendous pride when I saw Daniel Craig and the Queen for the opening sequence of the Olympics. I thought, my lord, what other series of films would be able to get the Queen of England to agree to appear?
I also love his modesty and a great sense of humour - I look as though I might cheat at backgammon -

I'm with you, Purple. Unless the woman has done something horrible, let's not beat up on her. I believe we all have a lot of respect for BB, so let's support each other as women and not bash her looks. I think we can agree that it's not a good photo of her but not that she isn't a good-looking woman. I've seen her up close twice in the last year. She looks great.purple wrote:I don't know, I think it is a little bit unfair of us to be so critical on her looks. Okay, Ladies. I give in, I was too harsh on her and yes, we certainly DO respect her, that is unless she agrees to another unflattering look on Daniel, then mine is gone

You know GG when I first saw that pictures my first thought was also that she doesn't look very good. But then I remembered how I look most of the time and how bad the pictures in magazine/cosmetics shops make me feel and I felt like writing that post. It really was firstly a note to myselfGermangirl wrote:Okay, Ladies. Do you think she has a saying in the way DC looks as Bond? I for one try to get used to the idea that he will probably wear again those tight/short suits I loathe, that I will not have Penelope Cruz as a Bond girl and I will have another gritty movie, in the vein of SF. Which I liked but still I would appreciate a change. Oh well...
