Well, I'm kind of not sorry to see him pull out of this one, whatever the reason. Somehow, I'm not expecting this to be a particularly epic movie despite the topic being close to my heart. He was on Crimea in the Ukraine in 1992 to shoot Sharpe's Eagle. The Moscow gig with NYT was in 1989.

He still performed with NYT while at Guildhall - some of the dates of plays (1988-1989, incl. this, Murder in the Cathedral and Blood Wedding) overlap with his 3-year period at the school ((1988-1991). What I thought was funny was that the DC section was quite funny compared to those of Day-Lewis and even of Tarantino. Let's hope this starts a boom of old interviews being re-released by diffrent media and news outlets. BBC could open up particularly - they should have super stuff from the 1990's!
