Some of Hollywood's most prominent celebrities support Artists for Peace and Justice and the organization's relief efforts in Haiti. According to Variety, Universal Studios has announced that the film "Cowboys and Aliens," starring Daniel and Olivia Wilde, will be released in the USA on July 29, 2011.

The annual Broadway Bears fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will be presented Feb. 14. Teddy bears dressed as famous Broadway characters, many autographed by the original stars who wore the original outfits will be auctioned off. Of course there’s a Joey and Denny bear available here Those who are not able to attend the New York can bid on-line. BC/EFA accepts pre-bids here and prearranged phone bids the night of the auction. According to the Web site Deadline.com, Daniel has finalized the deal to star in the film Cowboys & Aliens. The film's plot revolves around cowboys and Native Americans who put aside their differences to battle invading aliens. Daniel will play the lead cowboy Zeke Jackson.

Daniel and Satsuki attended the Radiohead Haiti Benefit Show at LA's Henry Ford Theatre, where every ticket was put on auction for Oxfam to support Haiti relief. See photos of Daniel and Satsuki HERE

Daniel joined more than 100 celebrities yesterday in helping to raise money for earthquake survivors in Haiti. The "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon aired live on numerous TV  networks. Some celebrities sang, while others -- like Daniel -- manned the phones, speaking to those who gave donations. (See photos of Daniel at the telethon HERE, HERE and HERE.)

According to People Magazine, after the telethon ended, "the fun continued at L.A.'s Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel where Clooney, DiCaprio, Witherspoon, Daniel Craig, Kid Rock, Aniston and Gerard Butler stopped by for some dinner and cocktails."

According to Variety, DreamWorks and Jon Favreau are in talks with Daniel to play the lead in "Cowboys and Aliens"  Daniel was offered the role of Zeke Johnson. The film is based on the 2006 graphic novel about a group of Apache Indians and Western settlers who resolve to patch up their differences when an alien spaceship crash-lands in their city. Daniel's representatives declined to comment on whether Daniel would agree to do the film.

Daniel has appeared in two other DreamWorks films: "Munich" and "Road to Perdition."
